I don't know how serious of a runner you are, but even the best of the best need a break every now-and-again. Most runners will take a week off, some more.

I ran in high school and in college, I was addicted to it; running kept me sane. Then I started my internship, moved to a different location and I just felt blah, and I stopped running. Partially because I didn't have time, but mostly because I had no motivation and nobody to run with. I would run every now and again, probably one day out of each month... when I got so stressed that I was craving a run.

Nearly 6 months since I stopped running, I have only just started running again, and it feels so good... I'm so pumped! And I decided to be smart and cross train (because I got injured pretty badly while in college because of focusing too much on running) so I joined my local YMCA.

To sum it all up, I love to run, always have and always will... but sometimes I just needs a break (for however long). You know, to give your body, mind, and soul some time to remember why you love running so much and renew your motivation!
